yes 800x has a lot in common with 790 adventure, but it has 48mm lags and 230mm travel (where 790 has 43mm and only 200mm travel) so it is closer to the R version. Also the high mudguard is like in the R version where 790 adventure has a low one
You do have a point, but the 790 is coming from the same factory I guess. I believe CFmoto would prefer it to compete with the R model by throwing higher legs on it than the 790.
@@Ecarlstrom79 the question remains about the quality of the kyb suspension compared to the wp xplor. I bought 890R but now I don't know if I would rather spend 75% of the money on 800x if the suspension is ok
There are alot of unknowns regarding chinese bikes. But the established manufacturers have had their share of problems as well. In the cfmoto 450mt they used some old tech suspension and I guess it is not the latest tech in the 800MTX either. People are replacing their suspension on 890R´s as well. In Sweden the 800MTX is 65% of the price for a 890R with tech pack. Quite the difference.
@@Ecarlstrom79 cfmoto manufactures the 790 adventure entirely in China, only the 890 is made in Austria, so I suspect there is no difference between the 790 and the 800x
Didn´t ride it for long and no highway. But only felt slight vibration in the footpegs. Nothing that would disturb me. Knobbies would give you more vibrations.
you commented well, thank you for the evaluation...
Thanks 😊
A well considered report, thank you very much! (subscription done)!
Thanks!
That wonderful KTM bucket of bolts sound
haha, yes ain´t it wonderful. The new BMW 8/900 engine has replicated this sound as well.
Some are going for a smoother and quieter sounding motor, and others are going for raging power
Duration time for the texts on screen too short. Add 15 to 30 percent. Thanx.
I felt too that they sometimes became a little short. Will extend duration in the future. 👍

The engine and fuel tanks are the same. Then I guess they made it different not to look like a 790 to compete with each other. Which they will anyway.
Long press Mode button turns off ABS/TC
Ok Then it is quite easy to switch. 👍
Nice ride! Did you notice any vibrations from the motor?

That’s crazy that they didn’t use the same mirrors as the 450 after all the great reviews those mirrors got 🙄
Yes. They can not be that much more expensive.
Personally if someone says there's no problem with the throttle has not ridden a refined motorcycle. The throttle is horrible. Snatchy in most gears.
This is not a refined motorcycle. :) Compared to my 450MT Euro5+, the 800MT-X had a lot smoother throttle. Maybe I was expecting it to be alot worse.
ktm engine does more mechenical noise
Why does it have to be that ugly?
I dont think it looks that bad. But a low fender would fit this model better.
Opinions vary for sure. I for one thinks it looks a hell of a lot better than a KTM 790/890 as those bikes I find ugly.
@@terrarecon KTM is always ugly
